A proximal enthesopathy of the lateral aspect of the suspensory ligament is present with an intense sclerosis of the proximolateral angle of the third metatarsal bone on the dorsoplantar radiograph (B, arrow-heads).
The dorsal three quarters of the suspensory ligament has diffuse loss of echogenicity (white arrows).
